Drawing from personal memory, mid-20th
century fiction, folklore myths, Matthew Lutz-Kinoy
presents new video and drawings. The exhibition is to
tell stories about the artist’s creative
practice and his instinct.
One summer spent in a tiny island of New
England, among dunes, sand, pine trees, insects,
birds, sea weeds and sea shells. He yearns to mingle
with them without restriction but still
following his own instinct and being quite conscious
of what he is doing, remaining capable of seeing into
himself as into clear water. It’s a very secret
story of Unnatural Union.
The exhibition
includes five large abstract/figurative drawings,
several small drawings, also a video, mixing the
flashback from his recent performance scenes in NY
with his life in the island.
In parallel, the installation
of related sculptures of Lutz-Kinoy also will be
shown at Year 07 Art Projects held in County Hall in London at the
booth of Yukiko Kawase from October 11th
to 14th.

Utilisant sa mémoire personnelle, le
roman des années 50, et les mythes folkloriques,
Matthew Lutz-Kinoy présente de nouveaux dessins et
vidéo. Cette exposition cherche à expliciter la
démarche créatrice de l’artiste et son
instinct.
. Un été passé sur une petite île
de la Nouvelle Angleterre, les dunes, le sable, les
pins, les insectes, les oiseaux, les algues et les
crustacés. L’Artiste essaye de se couler en eux
sans restriction, tout en suivant son instinct et en
ayant conscience de ce qu’il fait, capable de se
voir comme au travers de l’eau claire.
C’est l’histoire secrète de Unnatural
Union.
L’exposition
inclus cinq grands dessins abstraits ou figuratifs,
plusieurs autres petits dessins et une vidéo mixant
des flashbacks sur ses deux expériences de sa
récente performance sur scène à NY et de son été
sur l’île
En parallèle, Yukiko Kawase
expose des sculptures de Lutz-Kinoy sur son stand au
salon Year 07 Art Projects au County Hall de Londres, du 11 au
14 Octobre.
