FANA est une performance/installation in-situ et improvisée, totalement éphémère et participative qui se déroule dans le local de la Galerie Yukiko Kawase pendant trois après-midis de l’été.
La fleur s’appelle HANA en japonais. L’étude linguistique montre que dans l’ère antique, le même mot s’est prononcé autrement plutôt comme FANA. Tout un coup, sa résonance exotique et non familière nous emmènent à l’heure lointaine. En effet, la fleur étant la forme transitoire entre le début et la fin, elle est crue à l’époque comme étant un passager entre la pile et la face. Nous allons songer sur la beauté des fleurs en tant qu’aboutissement, départ, et voire même séparation.

FANA is an in-situ and impromptu installation/performance, a pop up and participatory art which takes place in the Gallery Yukiko Kawase during three afternoons of this summer.
The Japanese word for flower is HANA. Linguistics research shows that in ancient era it was pronounced as FANA. All of a sudden this new word and unusual sound brings us back to sometime far away. The flower being a transition between the beginning and the end, it was then also perceived as the link between the front and back sides of things. The beauty of flowers reminds us of the outcome, departure, or even separation.
