Felicia Atkinson

Felicia’s artisitic production is inspired by lo-fi and the minimalist use of various media such as writing, performance, video or drawing. She discovered contemporary dance while working with Boris Chamatz. She participates in the project Romain Anglais with Sylvain Chauveau with whom she also works on films in Europe and the USA. She created with Elise Ladoué the Association Gingembre in which she is developing various artistic ideas. Felicia performed at the Fondation Cartier in their recent exhibition J’en Rêve, at the gallery Public, at the Centre de Création Contemporaine of the City of Tours, at the Knitting Factory in New York, etc...

Née en 1981, Felicia est une artiste dont le travail s’inspire de la lo-fi et de l’économie de moyen à travers des mediums divers tels que l’écriture, la performance, la vidéo ou le dessin. Elle a découvert la danse contemporaine en travaillant avec Boris Charmatz. Elle participe au projet Romain Anglais avec Sylvain Chauveau avec qui elle tourne régulièrement en Europe et aux Etats-Unis. Elle a fondé avec Elise Ladoué l’association Gingembre dans laquelle elle développe leurs travaux divers. Felicia a fait des performances à la Fondation Cartier (dans le cadre de l’exposition J’en Rêve), à la galerie Public, au Centre de Création Contemporaine de Tours, à la Knitting Factory à New York etc.
